FAQ's

Why should I buy coffee from Hoodlum Coffee?

There are many coffee shops selling their own random blends, they’re basically telling you how you should have your coffee. At Hoodlum Coffee we believe in bringing you a full range of the best coffee beans for you to choose and brew, from some of the finest single origins to the classic French and Italian blends. We roast and send you the freshest coffee you can get. So you can impress your family and friends with the best coffee from around the world.

Why do you have so many different coffee beans?

We don’t push a single blend like most coffee shops. You’ve come to Hoodlum Coffee because you’re looking for more. Every coffee growing region creates a different tasting style and we have all the best from around the world for you to try and find your style.

Can we buy your coffee from the supermarkets etc?

As we specialise in roasting fresh beans and getting them to the consumer as quick as possible, you won’t find our beans on the shelves at stores. We don’t believe good coffee should be sitting on the shelves waiting to bought.

What’s the best way to make coffee?

We don’t do a recommended way but we'll give you tips on how to find your style. Everyone has different tastes and there is so many brewing styles. Have a play around and find what works for you.

How long does shipping take?

See our our shipping policy.

Can I pick up my order?

Unfortunately we currently don’t do pick up as shipping is free.

Which grind size should I use?

See our grind guide, as it all depends of how you’re going to brew your coffee. Check out the guide here.

Is it true coffee beans start to deteriorate once roasted?

Yes! Beans begin to lose their freshness almost immediately after roasting. This why you should buy smaller batches more often, generally enough to last up to two weeks.

Exposure to air is bad for your beans, this causes oxidation. It is best to store them in an airtight container away from light.

We recommend if possible buying whole beans and grinding when ready to make your brew.

How long can I store the beans?

As quality deteriorates we don’t recommend storing beans for any length of time.

How do I select a charity to donate to?

Our team selects up to three different charities to support. At purchase you can select one or all three, we will then donate proportion of the purchase from us to them. We use the Shop for Good network, if you would like to recommend a charity contact us.
